We were recently invited to ShapingEDU’s Global Virtual Summer Camp to discuss what we have learned through two years of Silver Lining for Learning. ShapingEDU is a global community of over 4,000 passionate and insightful educators, students, researchers, storytellers, edtech creators and education futurists from communities of practice around the world.

The title of our presentation was: Redesigning Education from Scratch: Lessons from Silver Lining for Learning and was described as follows:

Hosted by Chris Dede, Curt Bonk, Punya Mishra & Yong Zhao, Silver Lining for Learning (SLL) is a webinar series and an “ongoing conversation on the future of learning.” The series has featured 100+ conversations with global innovative educators and educational leaders, researchers, learners and more, featuring timely topics as student autonomy, remote learning, novel learning organizations, pioneering curricula and programs, innovative ways of teaching, new approaches to education policy, ground-breaking technological inventions and more

During this keynote, Drs. Dede, Mishra and Zhao will reflect on what they have learned from these conversations and how it can apply to the re-imagining of education, whether on Mars or here on Earth.

Here is the video of our talk.
